Animosity

By Cethan Leahy

description

From the 14th to the 17th of November we, Cethan Leahy & Erin Hug, will stage Animosity, a night of two interconnected one act plays. It will be presented in The Backloft of La Catheral Studios, Saint Augustine Street in Dublin,  Through a combination of personal investment and fundraising, we have raised some of the required money, but we need an additional €600 for props, costumes and equipment.

The first half written by Cethan Leahy is a farce that also functions as a parody of the Agatha Christie Mystery genre. During a weekend away at a country manor, a married couple, William and Charlotte have an argument over the possibility of the other having murdered someone.   The second play as written by Erin Hug is a gentle comedy about two animals in the forest whose friendship is tested by the difficult situation they find themselves in when there is a scarcity of food.  Combined, these two plays make for an evening of humour and thoughtful commentary of human nature and the meaning of true value.
